EV Rental Agreement — summary of key terms

This summary is shown and accepted electronically before every booking. The version you accept is recorded against your booking.

1. Rental period and plan

The rental runs from the start date for the duration of the plan you selected. Extensions require a new booking or written confirmation.

2. Rider obligations

• Hold a valid driving licence and ride only within the law, wearing a helmet.
• Only you may ride the vehicle; no sub-letting or carrying more than permitted.
• Use the vehicle in the approved operating area and for lawful purposes.
• Charge using approved equipment and follow battery-safety instructions.
• Report accidents, breakdowns, theft or damage immediately through the app or support line.
• Pay traffic fines (e-challans) incurred during your rental.

3. AdVahan obligations

• Provide a roadworthy, insured vehicle with a recorded pickup inspection.
• Perform scheduled maintenance as stated in your plan.
• Provide support for breakdowns that are not caused by misuse.

4. Deposit

Any deposit shown on your plan is held against damage, unpaid dues or fines and is refunded under the Cancellation & Refund Policy after the return inspection. Deductions are itemised.

5. Damage and loss

Damage beyond normal wear, identified by comparing pickup and return inspections, may be charged at documented repair cost, subject to any insurance cover and excess shown in your plan.

6. Digital Box vehicles

If your vehicle carries a Digital Box display you must not tamper with, cover or disconnect it. Any compensation follows the separately published policy.

7. Location data

Fleet vehicles may carry GPS devices used for safety, recovery and service delivery as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

Either party may end the rental under the refund policy. We may recover the vehicle for safety risk, illegal use or non-payment, after notice where practicable.
